At Least I Had the COLOR right...

This morning I was downstairs in the kitchen without my glasses. Most morning I have them on so this was a bit unusual. I was hand-washing the pots and pans that can’t go in the dishwasher. Katie came in and put some chips in a bowl. She then asked me to help her put the clip back on the bag. She had the clip that is impossible for little kids but my hands were wet. I suggested that she get the easier clip instead.

Me- “Why don’t you just use the yellow clip?”
Katie- “Well, where is it?”
Me, pointing- “It’s right there.”
Katie- “No, it’s not.”
Me- “Yes, it is. It’s right there by the bread.”
Katie, looking- “That’s not a clip, that’s a banana.”

I think it’s now obvious to all that I have NO business in the kitchen without my glasses.

Too funny. I think you and I may have been separated at birth. A banana, a clip. A Maytag, a Frigidaire. It's really all the same, isn't it?

I wore glasses FOREVER, then I had Lasik. Now I'm starting to squint nearsightedly again and it pisses me off. Soon, I will be mistaking my toothbrush and my eyelash comb and won't that be fun.

do you think you have it? said...

hahaha. i actually went to the eye doctor the other day and he had me read the chart with my contacts in. when i took them out, i was like, ask me to read the chart now! and he just laughed and said he knew that to me, there was no chart without my contacts.
