I'm FINALLY It

Ok, it has finally happened. I’m no longer a blog outcast. I was starting to feel like the last one picked in gym class. I have officially been tagged. The assignment is to list 7 random and/or weird facts about myself and then pass it on in the comment section of 7 more blogs. Like Janie (who tagged me), I might just do 3 or 4 though. I can’t say that this is likely to make for riveting reading but I’ll give it a go.

1. I received my doctorate the same year that I turned thirty. The funny thing is that I always felt that I was older than everyone else at the time. In retrospect that just seems silly.

2. I have 6 kids. 3 boys and 3 girls. Yeah, I know. THAT’S weird. Or CRAZY.

3. I become obsessed with projects sometimes. For example, I might make 3 quilts in a row but then I will stop completely for a couple of years. The obsession gets so bad that I even dream about it at night and it feels like I have worked ALL night. That’s probably why I quit.

4. I still miss Seinfeld. I like Desperate Housewives and ER, but it just isn’t the same.

5. I love Canadian bacon and sauerkraut pizza.

6. I prefer small plates and salad forks for meals. I have no idea why.

7. I will not get on a plane unless I have taken Xanax. I am quite sure that all the other passengers would hate it just as much as I would if I wasn’t sedated. No one wants to sit next to a crazy person uttering, “Is it supposed to make that noise? I don’t remember hearing that before!”

I'm tagging the following: A Float Floor RN, i am bossy, Loralee's Looney Tunes and Stoned Knitter.

And we're fine with that, honey -- as long as, honestly, it's not at the same time.

Bossy is so honored to be selected for your Meme. But a while back she wrote her first and last meme - a Dr Seuss tribute to Memes, really - and she'd be honored yet again if you choose to take a peek:

You have a doctorate and six children? BY THIRTY?!!!!
HOLY FREAKING COW.

You'll have to excuse me, I need to curl up in a ball of inadequacy and be heavily medicated now...

In the interest of preventing Loralee from having a stroke, I must clarify. Three of the kids were in my 20's and the three girls were after 30. Essentially two different batches. Easier that way.

SIX kids??? hehehe. Xanax must rock your world :)

I gotta think about this meme hehe, the possibilities are endless :)

Your preference for small plates and forks is due to your size. I too prefer salad plates and desert forks. I even take my own utensils when I travel - which also is not by plane unless there is plenty of xanax and even then I can find ten better reasons to just make the drive.

I feel like a complete underachiever next to your doctorate but it warms my heart that I am not the only obsesive compulsive out her when it comes to projects. I cannot tell you how many night I have dreamt of counting cross stiches or what new scrapbooking layout to do next!

I KNEW you were my kindred spirit!!!

If you felt like you were older than everyone else when you received your doctorate then I must have been ancient when I received my Masters at 38?!

We are both crazy for having 6 kids, (except that 2 of mine are step children so I guess you are just a little bit crazier!!) I have 4 girls and 2 boys.

Sauerkraut Pizza?!

I also eat on small plates. The plate seems full but it is actually a smaller portion.

My doctor prescribed Xanax for my flying for awhile then I had to rely on my own resources. Hello Tequila Shot!!

Thanks for playing!!
