Baby Stuff

Today I had to pick the girls up early from school. They also have the next two days off from school because of conferences.

One of the nice things about having the girl’s home is that they love to entertain the baby. That means that I can bathe without the baby in the bathroom with me. Normally I will try to get that done when Marin is napping but it doesn’t always work out that way. If I do end up with her in the bathroom it’s not exactly a leisurely bathing experience.

This morning I had her in the bathroom and she was into everything. She opens drawers and drags things out. She then carries off whatever she can find over to the tub and launches it over the side. I try to fend off the assault of shampoo and lotion bottles from the confines of the bathtub but that baby is determined. She will launch one attack after another saying, “Uh-oh” as the bottles fly over the side.

Today she decided that she needed a better position. She pulled the nebulizer case out of the closet and moved it over by the tub. Then she climbed on top of it yelling, “Whee!”

My favorite part had to be when I dried off and started applying body lotion. The baby broke out into applause and then enthusiastically hugged my legs. Then, just like that, she was back to the business of attempting to dismantle the entire house. In between naps, that is.

Yay you! You put on lotion! hee hee.

Kids, as stressful as they can be, are so good for a smile, aren't they? er...usually. ;)

Our youngest tries to dive into the bath fully clothed and head first. :)
