Walk This Way

The girls are still crazy about their baby sister. In fact, I have been known to use the baby to encourage their cooperation at various times. Most nights I take the baby upstairs with her big sisters when it is time for them to go to bed. Then the one that finishes getting their pajamas on and brushing teeth first gets the baby first. The baby will get in bed with Claire and Katie and they get to spend a little bit of time cuddling and playing with her. This is something that they both LOVE to do. Marin is usually a pretty good sport and rewards her sisters with baby smiles.

Tonight Katie had Marin in her bed but decided that she wanted me to dry her hair. She decided that it would be ok for Claire to get in her bed and stay with the baby until she got back. Claire immediately took charge of the baby until we got back.

Upon entering the bedroom again, Katie saw Claire sitting on her bed with her dad brushing her hair. Katie started demanding that Claire leave the bed (and the baby) and get into her own bed right this second. Four-year old's aren't known for being either reasonable or patient in my experience.
Claire protested by saying, “But Daddy’s brushing my hair!”
Katie looked at her and responded in a no-nonsense tone, “He can brush it while you’re walking.”

“He can brush it while you’re walking."

That has to be the funniest line ever. Where'd she pick it up -- The Apprentice?
