Spider Haiku

What follows is a haiku sent to me by a friend that understands the deal with spiders.

Large spider
Guarding the head of my bed
We have no deal

Evidently her spider did not think carefully about the consequences of being a deal-less spider...

It's actually a senryu (a seasonless sort of haiku). He just didn't understand that when he gets to a certain size and then wanders away from the plants with the insect infestation, that he's breaking the deal.

Oh, I guess I can say that I've been published now.
